Time capture
wombal canal heaves continuity
within its chambers as a child is born
ushering into immortality
joy is here, ripened by the morning sun
navel to push, cervix to labour orn
gestational evidences of hope
legacy, time captured kaleidoscope
mandate fulfilled by multiplication
fate of mankind hangs on fragile rope
procreation is for self-preservation
Home
home is a metaphor for belonging
a deep longing which has now found its rest
home is where you hear heart’s joyous leaping
it is that place where the birds lay their nest
east or west, it is ease from restless quest.
home - is an arrival of harmony
an inspiration for love’s melody
home is a presence and easeful flow
A destination, space and memory
is an igloo from the billowing snow
Co-existence
I am a voice among many voices
the union of sperm-egg womb gestation
a product of duty, habits, choices
and of an abundance of donation
can man abide in self isolation?
I am no entity that is self-made.
I am the offshoot of plethoric clade
the investment of many investors
who on rainy days offered support, shade
the legacy of sundry ancestors
Masterpiece
I want to be like art hanging a wall
like the artistry of a skillful pen
like poetry yielding a muse’s call
and like an ear to ear whispered amen
filled with the faith of twenty righteous men
I want to be that free flow of fresh air
playfully caressing both scalp and hair
to be the awe in those wonderous eyes
as you behold that which is true and rare
to be both masterpiece and a surprise
Pilgrim
to the wayfarer in frequent transit
may you find warmth. may you find your way home
the curious troubadour and misfit
in search of meaning and more, as you roam
through sunshine and rain, through starshine and loam
may your hope be not smitten asunder
and to those who hunger and thirst yonder
may you be filled far beyond brim and breast
and for those who through the abyss wander
may you be found whole. may you find rest
